I have spent over $500,000 in the last month buying domain names. If you don't want my money, don't reply. If your name(s) do not have type-in traffic, don't reply.

People who don't know may understandably think it is either someone "pretending" to be perfectname.com, or that perfectname.com is just another front for the everydayincome.com appraisal scams that have been going on. As they always find a new angle, I don't think its too off-base to be cautious and ask about it.

Check that your e-mail headers aren't from Russian or the Netherlands, and you can probably lower the "threat" level to Magenta, and give an invitation a second-look.

Well, jeez, why can't everyone just own up to it like that and move on? Half the problem I have with folks sending stuff out is when they get all ruffled over the semantics of how people refer to what's happening. But, just because "scam" and "spam" rhyme, doesn't mean they're synonymous. Looks like the original post's concerns have been addressed. NOT a scam. case closed. My names must suck, I didn't get an e-mail. [ sniff ] :-D

You really can't get mad at someone sending out e-mails saying they're interested in buying things from you...

Er... somehow, that category of UCE fails to offend me in any way, shape, or form... Someone "selling" something to me? Different story entirely.
