It was in a "HOLD" status even though the expiration date was way out there. And NameWinner had it bid past $40K last time I looked. Plus I tried communicating with Joker just to see what they were asking for it. No reply.

On 7-18-05, it switched to a law firm ownership.

So, it might have been a hi-jack situation. ????

Well, they're not the only ones.

Plus, the reason for the domain to be on hold was bogus registrant data - so it's not like the domain was just expiring.Isn't it like if a domain has fake data the registrar *has* to do something anyway if the registrant doesn't comply with the rules and has been given enough time to correct the data?

Actually i think it's better this way than leaving it all to pool etc.- that's one of the small chances that are left if you don't want to (can't afford to) rely on the drop catchers alone.

I am pretty sure this domain has been hijacked, if i remind it right there was some rumour about it, i believe the real owner got it back now, that would explain the whois data with the laywers too.

Why is it that so many very fishy/stinky dealings seem to lead back to Joker.com?

Those guys should be shut down. Of course the slimy guys need to have a slimy registrar to work with right?

A) A legal limbo
B) Under stolen ownership
