it would never just drop...

owner probably would reg. at 10 years out with auto-renewal set...

That's what I do on my biguns...lol... so as not to chance anything...
and then still swoop-in around the 8yr. mark for another 10ner...
just to be safe...

I wonder if some of the bids are fake, perhaps to drive a buzz about the name, or perhaps by people who know the reserve and want to increase valuation of such domains.

Whatever it is, it makes this whole business look slimy.

I would be selling how much money could the website make. as putting your pizza place in there if free. SELL at 500,000 but reserve still not met...

So far the pizza.info owner is the only smart one in the bunch.

Can the owner take the reserve off if he thinks he put it to high

Then again, I would say the same for $500k, yet that's where it is now...

I was obviously being sarcastic ;)

ahhh...
figured you probably were...
LOL...

HI

If this really sells for this much I am sure it will be good for all .net owners and the domain market in general...

If I owned it I would be happy with 10% of what the .com sold for... giving me $260K

But with $500K+ I would be over the moon...

Thanks
Tom Dahne

Looks like the reserve isn't 800K.

Bidding is at $810,260 and the reserve still hasn't been met!

Will not be sold.

lol

this sale is never happening

heres what people seem to be paying for nets these days from dnjournal today:

quotation.net $1,449
character.net $1,600
role.net $2.5k

granted pizza.net is in a different league, but any 6 figure sale would have surprised me imho

i suspect his reserve shud be a million

what safeguards are used to protect from fake bids... ??
