how would you rate outrope.com

i have a interested party negotiating on behalf of an end buyer.

i originally asked for $500 but im sure its worth more than that

I cannot see why anyone would want this name. If you get anything over reg fee then you've done well.

well i told them i would like $500 but in my honest oppinion it was worth more, also asked how much they offering to pay for it.

and i got quite an unbelievable reply back..

"I do feel it is worth between $1,000 and $2,000 which is
a price we have been working on. My buyer is willing to pay $750.00 more than a professional appraisal which I do believe will come out nearer to $2,000. I would like to push this through so the next thing is for the domain to have a professional appraisal"

so i've just requested an appraisal.

you guys been in this market longer than me, have you ever come across anthing like this, where the buyer is willing to pay than your asking price.

It's not an email from an address ending in @rock.com is it? Be careful that is isn't a ploy to get you to pay for an appraisal - there has been alot of that going on recently.

If the offer is genuine - well done - you have been extremely lucky.

If it seems too good to be true it probably is - the "appraisal" issue is a big warning signal. If someone is prepared to pay $2000 for a domain then generally he/she knows whether or not it's worth that.

There's a connection here with allfordomains.

Tread very warily is my advice.

ed30, i paid for that feature ad about 1 1/2 year ago, since then the domain expired but i repurchased it again few months ago.

i've noticed the follwing domains are also there, that were mine but are no longer

the lady who is acting as a broker is called "tina oliver"

she gave me the following examples of appriasal sites. has anyone used these sites and more importantly anyone know if they are owned by the same ppl behind allfordomains

... well , from reading these posts , i can pretty much tell you that the offer on your domain name is 99.9 % not genuine.
end of story.

Ask them to pay for the appraisal if they are serious. If they are serious, they will pay for it, if not then you know it was a scam! Say you will take the price of the appraisal of the final purchase price of the domain when they pay for it. :-D
