Pool and their lame excuses

Pool works great, that is why I use them. When they get a domain name they
slap their DNS on the domain name for 24-72 hours so thier advertising web
pages load. According to them they can't input your default DNS....

WTF, If they can input theirs, why can't they input ours?

I will tell you why, so they can have THEIR ad pages up for every domain
name for a few days. This is how they treat their high paying customers

Well, it is true. They make money off us from the bidding and buying of the domains, and they make money off of holding the domians for a few days through clicks. If you don't like it then stop using them or start your own drop catch. Other than that, it is their business and they can do what they want. They are in the position to catch these names and reserve them for us, and you are not.

P.S. I do need to add.
We are in a capitalistic market. Both you and I and all the members. With a business you need to make money. They purchased the name first not you. And if they make compensation off that then that is their business....If you don't like it then don't use them.

First off, this section of the forum was put up for people to post their
"Likes and Dislikes" about drop catching services. for you to reply with
"If you don't like their service, don't use them" shows your shallow thought processes.

Secondly, my first sentence was praise for POOL. The whole point of my post was
to show that Pool could just as easilly put in the winners default DNS as theirs
until the domain passwords are issues.

don't bother with another simple reply to this board like you have. It shows
that you don't bother reading forum headers or peoples posts

Try gaining control of your dns from one of Pool's registrars from this list.

unprofessional, no responsive registrar,
phantom registrar,
no-website registrar, or
website with only a foreign language.

90% of my grief with registrars are with Pool registrars.

And, I was a very good customer for Pool for 16 months.

No more. With there "you are on your own" attitude, I don't need
to do business with a non-caring supplier.

You can specify default nameservers in the options so that you will have your own nameservers from the beginning. You'll then also avoid the problem with changing nameservers for domains with obscure asian registrars!

Doing this will stop Pool from making a fortune with your domain...

snapnames does the same thing.. the domain is not really yours until the auction ends, so i don't really see a problem with either of them having their own name servers for 3-4 days up on the domain/s they caught.. and when/if you do win the domain after the auction is done with your whois info and dns servers are sent to the registrar and go into effect immediately after payment is processed successfully.

What I am talking about is that once Pool notifies you that
you have WON a domain name, they tell you that the registrar
will contact you within 1-3 days with your login information.
In the meantime they use THEIR DNS and load THEIR web pages
regardless of the default DNS you may have added in your Pool
settings page.

I have talked with Pool and they have no intentions of changing
this practice. Just one more way to squeeze a few bucks out of us

Medaniels, first off don't misquote me nor try to say what I didn't say... It's their buisness not yours'. You will never be in a position to be able to do what they do. They by the domains, not you, they can do what they want with them.

Sorry......you don't own them, they do.....you are a pawn in this market, and a pawn just like me that will use them to make money.....don't give me a lecture about what is right or wrong....DEAL WITH IT! or as I've said......start a drop catch of your own........oh that's right you don't have the reasources nor the ability.....okay then suffer through it.
