I am in the domain name game to make money. Can I make money with Pool? I don't know.

It looks like they can't lose though.

For me, their system will jack my cost much too high.

It's just not a model that I see working to my advantage.

Goodbye, Pool!

I just hope this shifts more power from Pool to Enom and/or Snapnames. Two places I like spending my money a lot more.

I have a question now, pool just caugh a nice name that I wanted. I want to make it into Phase 2 of the bidding, but how do I know how much to bid in the first phase?

That's the point - you don't, so you will bid "over the top" to get a name you want and the whole process is inflated!

Well for example my max bid in phase I is $1,000. Does phase 2 bidding start all over, or does it start at someone elses max bid. Also will I be able to see the bids on phase 2?

If I understand correctly, phase two would start at the highest phase one bid. You cannot buy the name at a price less than the highest phase one bid. So if you bid $1000 in phase one, you may or may not be included in phase two, depending on the other bids, but it's a sure thing you won't get the name for less than $1000.

Bye Pool, hello club Enom & Namewinner.
