Don't trust them until you read that top management has been fired for serious mismanagement. The current CEO drove the company into the ground.

Wow, such angst. %+|

Why don't you just sign up with another name?

Well you say that pool sucks because of the bids against yourself...
BUT you forgot that even after bidding against yourself, you don't know if you will be able to manage your domains... I won 2 names 2 months ago, and i still can't manage them. Remember that the domains grabbed by pool are put on their parking page.
It was 2 traffic names...

Mole,

I thought of that but why give them my business? I have been watching very closely (I track ALL drops that I miss) and I have not missed a single drop to Pool.

Until I read that they have fired the current CEO or sold out to a reputable company, I don't trust them and (apparently) don't need them.

They are now probably desperate for old customers to come back. After all, how many real drop chasers are out there, 1000? 5000 maybe? We are such a small customer base with very active forums so word travels around.

It's over for Pool and they know it.

I think the old customers remember the crazy bidding that happened at Pool back in the past. Rumors of shilling were riff. Pool had to initiate a credit card check to stem the problem.

I hope Pool improves with transparent bidder IDs. This should really help improve the credibility of the system. If eBay and Snapnames can use it with all success, there must be a very good business and customer reason behind it.

Pool is good at what they do, they just need to clean the water a little.

That they are.... screwing their customers...! :-)

they caught all 4 three letter .net's I had on backorder @ the big 3. I dunno whether to trust them or not. I just put in my bids for all four of them and minutes later they are overbid by $10 each :smartass:

Going to the "challenger auctions" was simply a showing of greed.
As if they were not making enough money with the system they had in place.

They got what they deserved.
Now they are bottom dwellers catching all the crap on the bottom of the Pool.....
