Is it just me or is bid time just AWFUL slow at pool
I mean waiting 30 seconds after clicking the bid link for the page to load . OR waiting longer to reload the page to make sure you weren't outbid by $1 in the final seconds??

I know its not my connection . Anyone else experiencing slowness in page loads ? I've reported this and they seem to think it's my 700kbps connection being too slow.

guess this means it's just me
huh?

I have not had any problems, but I put my final bid in before that landrush of bids in the last 5 minutes. . .

it's not just you - they're very slow at the end

yes bob but since all the auctions end at different times. you may be bidding on a name that ends in 30 minutes while the system is being hammered by a few people bidding on another name ending in the last seconds.. follow?

you gotta notice slow speeds if you are bidding on the last day. and dont give me the"bid early" line... zzzzzzzzzz

Yeah, it's a killer, especially if you're being sniped. You can't compete, because by the time you realise you're outbid it's too late to do anything. I prefer a system where the auction extends by 5 mins if someone bids in the last minute.

Plus all the auctions end in the middle of the night, Australia time, so I have to get up at 1am just to bid :(

It is really slow!

Pool is generally a little slow, but much more so around close time.

Interestingly, I don't really experience this at Namewinner! Maybe faster servers or more efficient scripts!

WebCat

interestingly enough I've emailed them as well as a few others and they claim "load balanced blah blah blah across multiple servers blah blah blah" COMPLETELY WORTHLESS if it don't work right . (which it doesn't )

I feel bad for Customer service... who I'm sure just repeats what she is told by the techs.

HEY TECHS! Your Stuff does stink . BELIEVE IT!
