Anyway, there's more than a few times when the succeeding pope picked the same name in tribute to the previous pope.
$7 investment...already received $XXX offers
Thanks for the feedback.

i did see it happened a couple of times, but personally i'd take the offer ... There may not be a new pope for 5-10-15 years and when that time comes, if we still are using domains, you better hopes he chooses the succeeding name
good luck
azt said:I agree! Sell it. Then go and buy every other possible name the next pope could take (probably already done now that I think about it) and sell those too!
Btw, is it benedict or bendict?

Dr. Domainer said:If you hang on it to it you could make out really well but you have the opportunity to make a nice return right now with absolutely no risk. On the other hand if you end up paying 50 years worth of registration fees and let's say you pay $500 for example. If the new Pope does go by the name you will definitely have a $XX,XXX-$XXX,XXX domain on your hands. The pay off in this situation outweighs the risk.
I would say it all comes down to your financial situation. If money is no object for you then it would be wise to hang on to it. If you are in a position where you want to get the money while you can you mine as well sell it.
I would suggest putting it on Ebay while popebenedictxvi.com is still up. You maybe able to draw some attention to your domain because it's so similar. Send the interested parties to the auction and you might end up with $X,XXX for it right now.
Regardless of what you decide to do I wish you the best of luck with the domain.
