poster affiliates and buying poster targetted traffic?

hey,
i have a poster affiliate that's been doing ok... been using google adwords. howeverm the costs are starting to add up. so, i was wondering if there were any good targetted traffic sites that might be good to buy for my poster affiliate? all the traffic programs i've sampled before have been garbage... i'm hoping maybe there's one out there that isn't... and is cheap. anyone have any ideas or personal experience? thanks,
