closed potiential buyer for TYDY.com... How much?

Howdy,

tydy is apparantly a british spelling of tidy.
I've got a person from London interested in buying it "for a future company". Whats a reasonable amount to ask for this domain?

Its a nice, short, pronouncable and very memorable domain, but I'm thinking the market is pretty low for the domain "tydy" , as its not registered in any other TLD, and I guess I have to keep in mind she could easily register tydy.co.uk as an altertnative to tydy.com.

based on sedo's asking prices for 4 letter .com's, i should be asking 10K! But whats a realistic price?

Q: does anyone know of a big reseller with lots of domain and that has reasonable asking prices for domains that I could use for comparisons when trying to assess domain values?? (I'm really a newbie at this!)

Believe me mate, that's not how we Brits spell tidy (TYDY) we spell it just the same way as the rest of the English speaking world does....

I think some one is pulling your plonker

Thanks for letting me know! I dont know why I thought that... If you look up tydy @ dictionary.com it just says "same as tidy" ... although I've personally never seen it used as "tydy".

Funny, when I saw it I thought of "tye dye" - you know, the process of dying t-shirts in several buckets of dye after tieing them off with rubber bands... it was popular in the 80's for a while, we did it at summer camp.

Other than that, it's probably the company's initials. Probably tough to figure out if the prospective buyer isn't being open with you.

I also thought of tye-dye when I saw the domain.
Maybe that is what they are going to use it for...
