I am planning to dev'. I have some good ideas. There are not that many good droplist sites around which really offer very useful services to users.

Develop them. We could always use another good droplist website.

I have been looking into compiling droplists, which is better, to compile my own, or to use someone elses?

I would much rather compile my own lists than use those created by another company.

Would you be able to tell me what exactly is involved in creating my own droplists?

Btw, the site when dev'ed will be much more than just a droplist site. This will truly be a Droplist site made by a domainer for domainers. Really just to make life 10x easier if you are a domainer.

I think to compile your own list if this will be your first experience has a bigger element of risk to not be able to compete with professionals and thus will look amateur. In my opinion to use another company droplist plus simply add some extra touch or special services will be better option as a start.Later on you ll improve it while its running. Just an idea though..

They could seriously decline in value if the CWS takes effect

Hi thanks,
Pretty much what I was thinking. More than just a basic droplist site, many other features will be added.
I am looking at a dev'ing time frame of 5-6 months so I have plenty of time to learn the ins and outs of the droplist market, although it is not something that I have looked into at great depth as yet.

Central Wait Service. Maybe thats not even the name of it. Dang. But what I'm talking about is when Verisign compiles all .com/.net drops into its own drop/auction site.
