There's a domain I coud have interest in getting which is currently in the Redemption Period status, which is registered with Godaddy. Is it a difficult process getting the domain transferred to my account, and what are the applicable fee's associated with the domain since it has expired? Does the current account holder first have to pay the associated fee's before transferring the domain or can they pass on the cost? Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

if the domain is in redemption, then only the last registered owner can renew the registration.

he cannot, however, transfer or push the domain to any other accounts or registrars, until this is done

the domain must be renewed by this person, before it is active

Thanks for your input.

Do you roughly know the fee's associated with renewing Redemption Period domains with Godaddy? Is it alot more than the reg fee?

The cost to get names out of redemption varies by registrar.. it is usually between $100 - $250.
