Affiliate Programs Professional affiliate marketing consultants?

I'm confused about where to start, and which affiliate programs I should go with. I've mostly been trying to work with a dish network affiliate but have been unsuccessful. I've had good advice from this board but probably due to my budget I can't get my affiliate program to work, or maybe since I'm choosing the wrong affiliate programs where there is too much competition.

Satellite services are incredibly competitive and it's not easy to succeed in that field.
