I'll call the bluff that the $53k is either shill or will fall through and bid $1000.

The bid is from a Swedish company, not a member on DNF. I came to DNF looking for more cuse i think $53k is nothing for this domain. Maybe it has someting to do with the value of the $ compared to our local currency.

I still say it's a shill bid.

There's always some supposedly wealthy, phantom off board company that want's to purchase something up for auction which is used in hopes of either accelerating bidding or as an excuse not to sell because the offers were not as high as expected.

This is not an auction. Domains for Sale (Domain Sales) - Offers Wanted > protection(.)net

I wanted offers, no offer meets my reserve yet. I won't sell a 1997 [keyword].net for $1500. Can't understand the problem.

sorry to say this, but you clearly leave in a dream world... If you think a 1997 .net is worth > $50K, then obviously you're not very aware of the market...

I'm not going to claim this is shill bid, because you'd be stupid to do this - but take it and RUN....

Yeah, for instance, I know that International.net sold for $25,000 about 6 months ago. Point being - International.net is much better than Protection.net, and was registered in 1995. If you seriously have a $53,000 offer, you'd better take it now, or you're going to regret not taking it later.

That's part of his business risk not anyone here. So let's us accept it, if he sold the name this will be good for the community anyway.

What is the current offer here?

If he has a 53k offer, what does it matter what the offer here is? :?:

Maybe, the power of "negotiation" will work. I've done that in the past.
