I am placing my site www.proxy7.com up for sale. The site went online Aug 10, 2005 and has steadily improved in revenue each month. This month has been exceptional and is continuing to grow. I was going to make a change into an information site and try and make this revenue even better, but I have other projects that are not allowing me to do so.

Site is a Page Rank 3
Ad spots can easily be sold for $30 to $70 per month if placed above the page views section of the page they are looking at. I have not yet promoted these heavily. The traffic is high enough to most likely to get more out of them.

Domain registered at Public Domain Registry registered until July 2006.

Starting Bid $300
BIN: Sale Pending
Payment Via: PayPal only

Due to concerns the sale will run until the 23rd of the month. I will post updated revenue with of the site from the ads that are only on the main page. I will do this by wed. this week to allow for 3 full days of ads only on main page.

Bidding will run until Midnight 23rd of November or 10 minutes past the final bid. Bidding will end immediately if the BIN is met by anyone. We are posting this also on NP and DP.

Please make all bids open bid in thread. Will take questions here and via PM though.

There are adsense ads on the proxy surfing page , and I think I am right in saying that Google does NOT allow this....

I have had them on there for a while and with other similar sites. The ads do not change with the load of a website, but maintain their ads from the main page as technically the user never leaves the site, but instead is viewing the website they search through a window created on a page of the website.

This is not a new site. It was first put online in August. I have promoted this site similar to other sites I have sold here. The traffic comes from free ads in directories and proxy reccommendation sites such as http://www.freeproxy.ru/en/free_proxy/cgi-proxy.htm

Actually the traffic on this site has grown slower as I have not put as much time into the site as I did the previous two I sold. Proxymouse.com and Proxyking.net which were both receiving around 1200 to 1500 uniques per day at the time I sold them and I did that in only 4 weeks on each with them. The current owner of proxyking has told me his traffic is much larger now than when he bought it from me and the revenue from each of those was not as strong as this site.

Avg income last month was $2.43 while this month it is about $7. Also, this month one day, traffic increased a lot and the website earned $30 brining the avg up a lot. I am wondering if the traffic was due to advertisement? Could I see some traffic referrers snapshots?

From the Adsense for content setup page:

What is the 'Framed page' checkbox?
Select the 'Framed page' checkbox if you will be placing your ad code on a page that uses frames. Selecting this option will tell our crawlers to gather content from the appropriate frame, thereby enabling us to serve relevant ads.

I purchased ProxyMouse.com from this seller..since then the traffic has doubled and the revenue has tripled..just so you know..

That particular day was due to a change we made in the setup of the ads. It spiked that one day only and then settled back to normal. We have not advertised the site at all so all traffic is from links. Here are the screen shots of that area. Also if you look at the average daily you will notice that for other days this month the amount has increased. This is due to our ad placement we have made changes to. I am constantly tweaking the ads finding the best spots for them. This revenue does not even include any ads that we have sold or could sell. I have not had the time to sell ads on the site at all yet except for one. With its traffic you could get a pretty good price for ad revenue and if you get the traffic to the level of my other sites I have done you will be able to charge even more.

Hey glad to hear that I have not spoke with you in a while. Let me know more updates will you.

The traffic on proxy7 can be quadrupled from what it is and then you can only imagine where your revenue could be. If needed I can submit it to the rest of the sites I have done with Proxymouse and Proxyking and increase traffic further and revenue further. I just do not have the time to devote to this at moment. For the winner I will give my support for a week in helping them if needed find out the best ways to increase traffic on this site to the level of Proxymouse and Proxyking. It has even stronger revenue potential than both of those as I have learned more from them.

Just a word of warning. I too had a proxy site, and asked my google ad rep if adsense was allowed on the searched, min-url pages. The answer was No, this would not be acceptable. Adsense is acceptable on the main page only.

Actually this wont affect the income any ways since the site has been earning the same amount from ads on the main page anyways. We only recently added the ones that are on the viewed pages. Thanks for the input though. That change can be made without issues. Cinrad is making over $10 per day now with his only on main page as well.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi,

Just wanted to let members know I also purchased a proxy site from Kevin less than two weeks ago in this very forum and traffic continues to increase along with revenues. Since acquisition, Kevin has provided excellent support and continues to stay in touch with new marketing ideas for the site as well as offering useful webmaster tools, some of which were free.

Kevin has Internet marketing insight, and I recommend his offers without reservation.

The above is not really an endorsement, more rather, an honest appraisal of experiences in dealings with this member.

Regards,
Andy

Have sent you a PM about this. Since this seems to be an issue I have removed the ads from viewed pages to show the revenue from the main pages. I will extend this sale until Wed the 23rd of 2005 same time and rules. This will give you time to view new updated ad revenue.

Thanks,

Kevin

New high bid is from Sitepoint now for $625.

Thanks,

Kevin

Received a response from Google in regards to the ads. For those that are interested in seeing their response to the ads on mini-url pages please let me know and I will forward it to you.
