The times have changed.

"The garden city of Putrajaya is the seat of the Malaysian Government, having taken the role from Kuala Lumpur since 1999. Putrajaya was named after Malaysia’s first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra.

The intelligent city sits on a magnificent 4,931 hectare spread located in the middle of the Southern Growth Corridor, which forms part of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC). Planned with sophisticated information network employing up-to-date communication technologies, the development of Putrajaya is a significant milestone in the history of modern city planning in Malaysia."

We're both right. See Countries with Multiple Capital Cities

Putrajaya history (www.sba.gov/advo/research/rs238tot.pdf):
"A master-planned city was designed and built on undeveloped greenfield land 25 kilometers from Kuala Lumpur and declared the new capital, Putrajaya. Putrajaya is intended to supersede Kuala Lumpur as the national administrative center and some government offices have already moved there—including the office of the prime minister."

P.S. Anybody interested in the domain?

None. But not that there never will be. This city was designed only about a decade ago and is growing fast. Not to mention it is now the capital of Malaysia and very high tech (called the "intelligent city").

Take a look at this awesome thread: http://skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=300882

Once again, Putrajaya is the capital of Malaysia. Along with Kuala Lumpur. Here's more sites saying the same thing:

1. http://www.pbs.org/nbr/site/research/educators/060106_13a/ "...Putrajaya is to become the administrative center of the federal government of Malaysia..."
2. http://www.kiat.net/putra/ "...Putrajaya is the new Administrative Centre of the Federal Government of Malaysia taking the capital city away from Kuala Lumpur (population 1.8mn), leaving Kuala Lumpur as the country's financial and commercial capital..."

3. http://columbia.thefreedictionary.com/capital+of+Malaysia says it best, "In 1957, British rule ended, and Kuala Lumpur became the capital of the independent Federation of Malaya. The city became the capital of Malaysia in 1963 and it and the surrounding area were designated a federal territory in 1974. The new administrative capital, Putrajaya, is south of Kuala Lumpur. In 1999 several government offices, including that of the prime minister, moved there, and in 2001 Putrajaya became a federal territory. The new city is part of a projected Malaysia Multimedia Supercorridor, a high-tech business zone intended to stretch from the Petronas Towers to the international airport."

Still looking for offers on the domain.
