2+ years ago, I jumped on the .mobi wagon and had high hopes!

Where do you see .mobi heading in the next 2-5 years?

I don't even know if I've ever seen a .mobi address on my phone. I always see either a subdomain (mobile.domain.com) or a subfolder (domain.com/mobile), never a domain.mobi.

It's a great extension it just came 5-10 years too late.

The internet wasn't even available on phones 10 years ago and 5 years ago people had to pay by the minute to use it. I don't get why people say this. No one used the internet on phones until 3-4 years ago. Meanwhile companies like coca-cola.mobi are getting on board. I think its definitely a viable option especially for sites that will be exclusively mobile.
