Tx.

How many of them were CCTLD portfolios, and .COM ones? .. Any GTLD portfolios as well?

Can you describe the 3 winners, please? .. I have my own assumptions, though would love to hear your findings. Tx

Top person was generating 6 figures with around 5,000 domains - com only

Next 2 were generating high 5 figures / low 6 figures with around 3,000 domains and 300 domains respectively, again com only. The small portfolio had a big sale which altered things.

The breakeven had ok sales - various portfolio sizes from 200 to 3000 domains with predominately coms but a few other extensions like co, io, vc, ai.

The losing portfolios were predominately brandables (SH) with a range of extensions and some loses were into the 5 figures.

The losing portfolios had unrealistic expectations for selling their portfolios despite losing money where as breakeven and profitable were semi-realistic on their expectations with around 18x to 24x multiple on profit.

It appears that people that got in in 2021/2022 were able to sell low quality names for reasonable returns but have taken a big hit this year.

Very useful info here.

Stick to .com and don't use SH! 😄
