Do you mean names like color.com or names like tuum.com, or even names in different character sets?

There is, but it's a fraction of the english equivalent.
Example: sex.com = 40K+++ retail, sexo.com = 12K retail max
I'd stick with VERY common single words only, with lots of market potential and ONLY .com.
