The site for sale here is a popular hip-hop rap battles/discussion forums: www.rapblock.com/forums. The forums have about 650 members and 11,000+ posts, in about 3 months. Its still growing at a rapid pace. (The site is actually 2.5 years old. More details below) Average traffic over the last 2 months is 3,700 pageviews and 475 uniques per day. Traffic's been up and down really, according to Urchin, with peak days getting about 10,000 pageviews and 1,000 uniques. Heres the screenshot: http://www.uploadfree.net/upload/gGhLfsscr.JPG

There's a website that was designed recently too, by one of our members, but it needs to be developed. I was planning on using a CMS, like the site had before. Just haven't found the time to implement that.

The forums are run by a team of admins/mods completely. You don't HAVE to do a thing (although your contributions will help to no end), until the upgrade time comes. And that's where I'm stuck... The site's been acting strangely ever since upgrading to RC2, and someone needs to take care of that. The logins aren't remembered, and that's hurting activity. Even then, there have been 26 new members in the last week. Otherwise, I do spend some time, but unfortunately, I am very busy with other things at this moment.

I acquired this site early in 2005, with about 1700 members and 60,000 posts. While moving servers, about 3 months back, the database got corrupt. Anyway, the point is that it was a major disaster, and we had to start from scratch. It was my fault, really, but a 100MB backup of nearly 2000 members and 70,000 posts is still there, if you can ever get that to work.

No real attempt at monetizing the site. I added TargetFirst ads for maybe a week, and in patches of hours, and it did a total $14.77. As you can see, I haven't bothered putting up ads properly since, due to the upgrade nightmares. Incidentally, TargetFirst reports serving 150,000 impressions. Please PM me for that screenshot. Also, I can tell you that the previous owner used to earn about $120 using the cheap Clicksor ads.

I don't think I can include the vB license, because I renewed it just a month back. But you find lots of licenses going for cheap.

I'm looking to see what offers I can get here... This site obviously has potential. I think its fair to start bidding at $500. I will decide whether I sell it or not, of course. Please PM/post here if you have any questions.

The support people told me that the database was "corrupt". Its 110MB big, and takes a while to just get everything rady. Its still there, but I'm not going to risk another conversion. If we can come into some form of an agreement, I can give you the link to the SQL file, so you can check if it works or not.

Activity is down ever since I upgraded, as there are some problems, but normally average is about 80-200 posts per day. At peak, the site got about 300-500 posts per day for a week or two. Even before the upgrade, it was about 150-300 posts per day.

That's not true, the site's receiving about 300 uniques despite all the problems; Thursday was 506. I can get a screenshot of that if you want... Yes, activity is a bit down, due to the login problems we were having. But remember, the site has started from scratch before, so it shouldn't be a big problem.

Considering a similar site sold on NP for $1500, I feel that even $500 is a bit unfair. I can offer a split-up instalment scheme though...
