I'm looking to sell this domain, hopefully to an established brokerage online. I'm already aware they intend to lowball portfolios; but they have called me and indicated a interest, so I'm planning on having a negotiation so I can get a respectable offer both sides can agree on.

Just a brief history, this site has been under registration since 2003. I purchased the domain early this year, as well as the .net; I tracked stats on it for only a couple of weeks though. I believe I was receiving anywhere from 100-600 views a day at the time, seldom under 100. This traffic is based off the forums (vBulletin software) that it used to host for as many as 4 years, more than likely.

Well, as mentioned earlier, I intend on selling now since I have no time for it, so I purchased hosting to pull stats. It's roughly 36 hours only to this point, but I think it's enough for a fair assessment now. If it slides down or remains steady by Sunday, I'll update.

Traffic stats; uniques are set at 30 seconds.

Tuesday - 234 views and 178 uniques. 7 returned.
Wednesday - 826 views and 652 uniques. 61 returned.
Thursday - 854 views and 689 uniques. 96 returned.
Friday - (between 12:00am and approx. 4:00pm) - 427 views and 367 uniques. 57 returned

Visit lengths; (this is the log of the past 500 views only. So most of this is probably the past 13-18 hours)

78.5% (299) stayed less than 5 seconds
10.5% (40) stayed from 30 seconds to 5 minutes
5.2% (20) stayed from 20 minutes to an hour
10 stayed longer than an hour
9 stayed from 20 minutes to an hour
3 stayed from 5 to 30 seconds

Location of visits... if it matters
87% are US
1.84% are Canada and the UK, each

Some are unknown, and the rest are random countries in small quantities, like Australia, Denmark, Switzerland, Kenya, etc.

That's probably the only significant stats I could find. But it seems to still have a good chance at being revitalized quickly if the right person had it. Based on this info, what can I rightfully expect in a package for both rapblock.com and rapblock.net?

Can I get any help here?

Friday traffic = 820 views, 679 uniques. 138 were returning visitors.

Saturday traffic in the first 10 hours is at 457 views and 353 uniques. Traffic has been here at 4pm during the weekdays, so that looks great to wake up to. Might hit 1-2000 if the traffic doesn't slow down.

Not sure why I can keep great views for nothing, but no guess at it's worth.

nice in terms of traffic for now, but it wont last since its not an active site anymore, more and more backlinks are going to be deleted. Not sure why the traffic is going up, unless you are creating new links in forums etc., either way..it really depends on the type of traffic, (if its bots, real people, pings from emails etc.)...

..am I missing something here? this is not an active site and you say there are people staying longer than 5seconds? odd..

anyway..I think if the current traffic would actually convert with parking pages or affiliate programs I would say the value is about $2000 if you have real revenue stats..if the traffic turns out to be worthless I would think its a mid $$ to low $$$ domain

Good insight. Honestly, I can't vouch for why anyone would stay on a blank site for so long, but I have habits of multi-tasking online and leaving pages open for long periods of time. Maybe this is happening here. (btw, hits are reporting from google, a few type in's, and directories that have listed the site for some years now.)

I'm going to look into some revenue programs, any good suggestions can be PM'd to avoid conflict with posting rules.

I think a standard parking program like Sedo's might be best, I think its easier to set up and easier to navigate than most others, after all I think its really only meant to see if the traffic converts, and if t does I think you can find a buyer that would pay a fair price

Sunday update (hits only)

*1,141 yesterday (Saturday).
Approximately 594 today, which I guess is expected for a Sunday.

But I'll try out Sedo if negotiations don't go fair with this other company. I was trying to avoid waiting on private buyers to come around, but if I can make a little change from it waiting, it might be worth it in the end. Thanks for that suggestion.
