The blog is less than a month old. Here are some highlights:
- Built on Wordpress, so its easy to maintain and update.
- Gets about 60-80 uniques per day.
- On first page of Google for the term "rappers" out of 6.42 million other results.
- 14 RSS subscribers
- 50 handwritten posts already up - these aren't rewritten PLR articles (check out the blog and you'll know)
- Solid, natural backlinks.
- Fully customized Thesis theme - easily the best Wordpress theme. Retails for $87 for a single install.
- Excellent domain name.
- Customized header/logo.
Revenues are very low. I have just two Adsense blocks that have a very low CTR. The blog has made $1.85 in the past one month since the site has been up. With more optimization/experimentation, it could make a lot more.
The domain is obviously top notch. "Rappers" is searched over a million times according to the Google AdWords tool. After the .com version, this is easily the best domain for rappers.
I'm selling the blog because honestly, I'm not a fan of hip hop. Searching for and coming up with article ideas is becoming too difficult for me to maintain this blog and its not something that I enjoy doing. Someone who already has a hip hop site network, or who is actively interested in hip hop can do a lot more out of this. In one month, this blog has done very impressively. Over a few more months, it can easily become an authority on rappers.
