Hey guys and gals! I just acquired RateMyPC.com last week, and decided to start a rating site for computers, where techies can claim their bragging rights based on the opinions of others!

Check it out RateMyPC.com

Also, a forum: RateMyPC.com Forum

This site is receiving 20 uniques/day (before it was even developed!) -- this should increase as people become members.

Anyhow, this site is hosted on my web server, and the winner will have the option of a lifetime of free web hosting!
(Although, if you do choose to move it to another providor, it's quite easy to transport all of the data -- i'll be glad to assist).

Current top offer is $400

Please PM me, or e-mail me: [email protected]

What script is used for this, custom, licensed, etc.?

The script used for this site is a licensed version of I-Rater pro (Hot or Not script) -- I've customized it a bit, to suit the needs of a PC rating site, versus a rate my face site.

Current top offer is $400

Is there a way to add additional parameters for an entry, beyond just a picture? For example, can you add fields for processor speed, power supply, OS, etc.?

Does it allow you to post more than one picture for an entry?

Does it shrink the pictures on the fly, or does the submitter have to do that?

I just modified the code (yes, you can define additional parameters -- everything is customizable) -- I created a "PC Specs:" field for (CPU/RAM/HD/PSU).

Right now, it's setup for 1 picture per user -- but with slight modification, i'm sure you can it to accept multiple pictures (i'm not very good at coding, or I might attempt).

The pictures must be = or less than 640x480 and smaller than 102k (so people don't kill your hosting account, what not, and make it unviewable for people on slow connections)
