These seem to be the big words to go with a city name, when someone is searching for a place to live or land to buy. Real estate is the first, homes would be second, and realty third.

From a realtor's point of view, any of these keywords would look good on a business card or ad, although you don't often hear the word 'realty' used people know what it means.

Is it worth getting 'city name + realty' for cities over 50k or 100k?

Just a heads up...The word "realtor" is a trademark. C and D letters go out often....I know this from personal experience. A generic domain like VancouverREaltor.ca can only be used by a licensed realtor.

"Realty" is also an enforced Trademark.

Above appears to be false - guess I shouldn't trust memory. Appears that "Realtor" is the term with enforced TM.

It seems that 'realty' is not a very popular term, based on the Google searches and number of search results.

1,120,000 Google results for "los angeles real estate"
7,120 Google results for "los angeles realty"

realty doesn't seem to be a word people use to search for real estate, but a lot of companies use it in their business name or domain name. So I think 'realty' domains are good if you intend to sell to a business down the road or start your own realty company, and 'homes' and 'real estate' domains are better if you want to build a website and get better SEO.
