Did the enquiry come from the US?
Did it come from an end user?

As I am sure you know many people ignore the .us as an area domain extension and view it as the two-letter word "us" - so "ReMortgage.Us" is obviously a perfect name for a loan company. A UK end user loan company may well find that a very desireable domain name to have, consequently where the enquiry came from would be significant.

Agree. To end-users, I won't go for anything less than very high 3-digit like $950, that's just for the gesture of making it LOOK less expensive.

Thanks for all your positive input, i think the potential buyer is based in the US, i have checked out the website, but it seems that it is a general based site for loads of things. I wont name the site obviously for privacy reasons! But i have a fair idea that the price will be far lower than those stated here!

I think i may canvas some loan companies US & UK to see what turns up! Thanks for the ideas guys. Much appreciated.

When doing so, you may want to NOT highlight your resident location (UK). ;)

In my experience Wot, people are full of surprises, you never know they may make me a good offer, but personally i cant see it, as they seem to be geared to general interests, but i'd say if the company solely traded with mortgages then the price would be far higher obviously, i guess i will just have to wait and see and keep my fingers crossed!

Interesting usage but the problem is the odd word 'remortgage' (in the sense of refinancing a mortgage loan) is NOT a common term in the U.S. and sparsely used and little known in the loan or real estate industry.

Trader i think what nameslave was commenting about was the UK market, as a sort of slogan, we use remortgage as a common term over here, and i think the US call it a refinance mortgage???

I just looked at my database and have realised i own refinancemortgages.us also? I forgot i owned that!!! Any point in making another appraisal thread for that one?

R. E . is Real Estate.

Yes, it can mean that but RE is a little used acronym for real estate. It also appears he was using it in the sense RE stood for Refinance (most common term in US). Remortage seems to be a much more often used in the U.K.

It could do quite well in US since the rate is quite low for people to re-mortgage. Look at the ads about refinance your mortgage, they are everywhere. Rates going up, so better hurry.
