Wanted: Service Redirection Script

I'm looking for a script that lets users register theirname.mydomain.com or optionally mydomain.com/theirname

If anyone can point me in the right direction, thanks. I want this to be fully auotmated.

I wonder why it creates an unnecessay extra level for the domain. I can see it useful if it creates a sub-domain, but www.sub-domain.domain.com seems strange.
