I got an email bulletin from RegisterFly tonight.

I was surprised to see that they are planning a drop club.

"Coming soon:

FlyDROP Club Service(both API and interface provided)"

So, they are starting a drop club. OK

What is more important, is that they apparently believe that WLS is not going to happen. Why put time, effort and money into a club if WLS would elliminate the need for a drop club.

I had the same question whether it would be be based on enom's API since it would not be effective since enom throttles the activity(I have seen plenty of discussions on this). The response back was They purchased an icann accredited registrar 2 months ago so they are providing a service that uses this registrar's auto batch pool connections.

They already have Expirefish, so why do they need a newly named drop site. Wonder if they are closing Expirefish (which has a bad rep anyhow) and starting over.

Yeah probably closing expire fish or letting it slow fade away and trying to create excitment around the "new" drop club.
I would probably do the same thing if I were them.
Now they need to catch a couple of great names right off the bat ala pool.com.

Based on my sources, I don't think WLS is going to happen either, but I think some variation of it will. It won't be 100% (so what's the point) but it'll still be registry based.
