PM me if you need a demo...
Originally termed as Relativate.com, this website is a basically a "myspace" for families. It is a full-fledged social networking site that helps you keep in touch with family members, discover relations you never knew existed.
How it works:
You add your relatives, and provide an email if they have one. When they sign up, they already see their relatives who have already been added previously (as in LinkedIn) and all the relationships are updated according to their view. If you take a look at Geni.com, the idea is exactly the same. However, there are some additional features in this. Namely, the ability to form family groups (say you want your private space with just your cousins), and share photos albums, and create discussions (completely customized so that you can have discussions with who ever you choose to, only subject to their approval to join.) Additionally, there is also an internal Messaging system (Inbox and Sent Messages), and a scrapbook where visitors can add posts to your profile.
The application is developed in ASP .NET and SQL Server 2005, and makes use of the AJAX .NET framework from Microsoft (Atlas).
I'm selling it because, being a single developer and having a day-time job, I don't think I will have the time to support and update the application after releasing it. The website is not complete yet (it is almost done however).
