Here is the Renfe.mobi promotion:
http://www.renfe.es/mobi/index.html

What is Renfe?
Renfe Operadora is the state-owned company which operates freight and passenger trains on the 1668-mm "Iberian gauge" and 1435-mm "European gauge" networks of the Spanish national railway infrastructure company ADIF (Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias).

Hey, I just saw this!

Very nice ad and promotional.

Damn, that music made me recall my Spain trip.

the same thing would work also with:
mov.renfe.es or movil.renfe.es

if ComanyABC.es and CompanyABC.fr both want the same CompanyABC.mobi?
who will get it? and what .mobi will the second company use?
it's just confusing & useless

many people still always type "www"
so they would type some "mobile" subdomain instead
.mobi is complete useless for users

i understand the benefit of .mobi for registrars and speculators, but for users it's useless

Just wanted to make sure this never gets deleted or edited.

Great words of wisdom.

the first one that applied perchance? either via sunrise or landrush or after

what do you think happens to a .com,.fr etc? the first one gets the one they want, next up gets a variant

and what .mobi will the second company use?

see above

it's just confusing & useless

:uhoh: LOL

:uhoh: LOL

that was a RHETORICAL question, Predator
i know how it was done

it already happened
but that does not mean that it was a good idea

what should users have to remember two domains for each company?
renfe.es and renfe.mobi
and for some companies completely different xxxx.com and yyyyy.mobi

i am the user, why should my life be complicated?

why don't we have predator.monday
that we only use on mondays
and predator.tuesday for tuesday?

i don't care if it's monday or tuesday, i wan't to use just the domain without thinking about the day of the week
or whether i use laptop (predator.lap)
cell phone (predator.mobi)
or any other device that was not even invented (predator.omni)

Yeah it would be like people having to remember a home telephone number AND a mobile number! Just blows the mind away!!!

Thanks for the news, Vision.

...for each company.

Do you remember two phone numbers for each person you know? I don't.

Everything can be made a bit more complicated than it is, but why should we do it?

As I said, domain.monday, domain.tuesday... would be possible too, but let's keep it simple.

.museum, .post, .cell, .store, .travel, .web, or dot(cell phone in 123 different languages)
Do we really need this?

All people need to remember is that all .mobi sites work well on their mobile device, unlike all .com sites. That's 1 thing they need to remember.

Then remember the name of a company, e.g. BMW, Sedo, Opel, Nokia, Ericsson, Google, Xbox, Fox, Paramount, BofA, Barclays, AXA, ING, Ferrari, Priceline, SAS, Amtrak, Smirnoff, MSN, Cisco, Zagat, TheSun, Three, TIM, Orange, T-Mobile, Weather, WWF, Renfe, etc. and Bob's your uncle!!!

You get: BMW.mobi, Sedo.mobi, Opel.mobi, Nokia.mobi, Ericsson.mobi, Google.mobi, Xbox.mobi, Fox.mobi, Paramount.mobi, BofA.mobi, Barclays.mobi, AXA.mobi, ING.mobi, Ferrari.mobi, Priceline.mobi, SAS.mobi, Amtrak.mobi, Smirnoff.mobi, MSN.mobi, Cisco.mobi, Zagat.mobi, TheSun.mobi, Three.mobi, TIM.mobi, Orange.mobi, T-Mobile.mobi, Weather.mobi, WWF.mobi & Renfe.mobi!

Very complex indeed!

Yahoo.com, Yahoo.de, Yahoo.es, Yahoo.fr, ALL Yahoo.mobi?

Citibank.com, citibank.de, citibank.cz,.... ALL citibank.mobi?

t-mobile.de, t-mobile.com, t-mobile.cz... ALL t-mobile.mobi?

need more examples?

sex.com, sex. net. sex.org, sex.pl, sex.jp, ... ALL sex.mobi?

or according to your logic, should all .com's automatically receive a .mobi?
