I would report the copyright violations to the abuse department at the hosting company itself.

Is he linking the IMG tag to your pictures on your host? If so replace all your pictures with inappropriate ones (depending on their usage) and then move your's to a different location. ;)

Nah, wish it was that easy. It's been scrapped and now on their server.

Copyright can be a tough call. You need to be able to prove the source and your rights in the source.

I've done it a few times but never get too far. Here is one of them they bothered to reply too:

Hello,

Thank you for this information, I have forwarded the details to our compliance department.

Then I replied: Can I talk to the compliance depart directly, I've got a huge list of non qualifier...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last 3 times I sent details that proves that someone isn't qualifying for a .ca, Cira never replied.

I would love to visit their office with a camera and post it online and see if really someone is doing anything in there all day.

What ever happen to their big marketing that the guy who wanted to be elected was talking about?

One day :veryangry:, oh yes one day  .... on day .... .... yes ....:upset:

It is a big joke - look at MarkMonitor. They hold hundreds of domain name registrations so that unqualified users outside of Canada can have use of the .ca name space, which certainly goes against the spirit of the CIRA policies.

I realized this a while back... you don't have to be canadian to own .CA ..since i report users and nothing happens.

Cira loves Markmonitor. Fighting side by side against the evil baby eaters, women beaters, meat pop cycle lovers; domain investors. No ones is braking the rule more than Markmonitor, they even have their own registrar license. Other clever registrar that we all know just offer a private whois service.

So I gather from this thread with so many people facing the same response that CIRA doesn't give a shit.

Oh no, they do care - when it suits them.

Perhaps if someone pointed the finger at someone here with a few hundred domains, they might lurch into action.

I submitted a domain to them to check which was registered to a non-existent person, using a Buffalo radio station telephone number and at the address of a vacant lot, complete with links to the listing, the map, and the radio station.

You always get the same result: it is sent to the compliance team and CIRA will not be telling you what happens.

The fact CIRA sits on these things for up to 30 days before even replying is also a joke: it seems like they want you to forget about ever contacting them about anything.
