History
Reptile-Breeder.Net began in 2001 as reptile-classifieds.com. In 2005, the site was revamped and renamed from Reptile Classifieds to the Reptile Breeder Network (reptile-breeder.net). RBN Provides discussion forums for reptile breeders and owners, social networking via customizable user profiles, instant messaging, and classifieds, with an extensive backend management system powered by Joomla. Early this year a premium domain name (slithering.net) was acquired to create a more brandable network for RBN.
User DB
The user database consists of 500+ users, with the ability to email all users to inform them of site updates and important news. User messaging emails users when new messages are received in response to posted advertisements.
Customizations
Siteâs design and template is unique and exclusive to reptile-breeder.net. This is a custom designed Joomla template running on a 1.0.x Joomla platform with many backend customizations.
Incoming Traffic
The majority of incoming traffic is achieved through high rankings on search engines. Daily traffic consists of over 1300 page views per day, most of which are generated by returning users who visit the site regularly.
