What does that mean? Yes I’m aware that ppc ads are not what they used to be, but he’s free to try to build a portfolio of ppc domains, with any platform he chooses.

I wish there was a tracking system with affiliate programs that would work like the old ppc links, that would make it easy to monetize such traffic. I might be wrong but there might be such a site? @Helmuts what was that one site?

I do agree.. our case (DNForum) also proves that it is a better business to sell 3 banners than load various affiliate offers on the site.. and Google ads are even wordse: unrelated, hugely add to the loading speeds and make a website not loading in China..

.. the downside of selling banners to direct advertisers: you actually need to get out there and sell.. and often it includes going to conventions, expos, conferences and talking to companies that have premium exposure (sponsors) at such events.. huge plus when doing this: you get quality insight if your website is potentially valuable to other businesses, and if you manage to sell a banner/newsletter/advertising to a company from your niche = your resource becomes even more authoritative.
