.ws is one of the bottom-of-the-barrel extensions that 99% of people avoid for good reasons.

.ws has already proven unpopular and undesirable. The extension has had plenty of time to mature and prove itself, and it has proven to be a failure overall. There are always exceptions, but as a rule you should avoid .ws in the same way you avoid .tv, .nu, .cc and all the others.

The previous $25 apps are accurate, and possibly even too generous. Sorry but it's true.

Good luck!

A sweeping judgement from one who knows all.

My .ws sales have already proved you wrong, one for $900, couple of small low three figures and offers starting to come in fairly regularly. So get your facts right next time.

Thanks

Simple answer don't reg them, but you will now find there are very few even reasonable names left to reg in.ws - seems to say that others have the same opinion as me, if the name is good it will get offers irrespective of extension, or they may be developed to add value.

Luck.ws
Lend.ws
Rich.ws
Democracy.ws
Solution.ws
Program.ws
Race.ws
Cruise .ws
Song.ws
Word.ws
Aromatherapy.ws
Color.ws

Just a few of my worthless .ws

The $900 sale? It has been on the threads a number of times.

Believe it or not I do this for fun!!! Just to help fill up my early retirement.

Here are my "worthless" .ws domains:

www.retirement.ws (yeah, the market will be good, but damn it's a w.s name for godsakes, no one will every click on it)

www.politics.ws (awesome name, but terrible ending. You know the "politicos" are com only type people--especially the europeans)

www.nano.ws (what was I thinking. Great potential science, but again, terrible ending. How could I "waste" my time, especially when everyone else has to optimize their sites like I will have too)

www.Father.ws (oh, man...Great father's day site, but look at that .ws ending. For christ sakes, how the hell will anyone recognize this site as something related to "fathers").

www.Wear.ws (I won't even go there. Who would actually "wear" wireless (ws) clothing...Dumb...just plain dumb)

www.Complaint.ws (Finally, a site that might have a chance. A .ws site dedicated to all those people who would like to complain about the .ws names)

www.Union.ws (For Pete Sakes... Union membership is dwindling. What a "terrible" niche market, with a even worse ending)

Here is my thought, if I can register a .WS (one word) for under 10 bucks, why not...it may take a while to develop, but I can wait. Here are some of mine:

Click.ws
Deal.ws
Cost.ws
Merchants.ws

Not developed yet, but if interested, let me know. PM me, not interested in wholesale prices though..
