My Bad 2

:hail::hail::hail::hail: hail RICK

Note to various cable networks based in Atlanta and New York: From what we can tell, ureport.com is available.

Definitely not... without even checking!

you have to hand it to him for getting that price for that domain. most would have sold for less. but it helps in negotiations when you don't need the money, I bet he would have been just as happy keeping the domain.

Does CNN need to reinvest? Their CEO probably makes $100 million so $750k is a Kleenex for this company.
Interesting point - CNN probably spent as much in executive salaries discussing this move as they did for the domain.

Another indicator that good domains are severely underpriced.

Quite a sale....impressive

It's also nice to get this news out there about a "big corporation" paying six figures to a domainer who regged the name for $100.

It's important because there is still the mindset out there about "why should I pay xxxx or more for a domain that someone regged for <$100". Domainers can point to this sale as an example.

so whos the next person that going to be SMILING!?!

HI

It's a great sale but I don't think you will see many other i????? .com domains go for this price anytime soon...

Thanks
Tom Dahne

Oh it's funny. Who really cares. .mobi buy, isomething.com sale.

It's time for Rick fever again... Or am I the only one that can see an angle like that.

First off he didn't need to sell, so he could hold out. Selling Porn.com for what he did made him comfortable. Buying .mobi set of a selling spree.

Everyone buy and sell off Rick.

You mean porno.com right?

Sarcle, none of your signature links work... i get blanks

Rick normally doesn't sell. I imagine he sold it because he can apply that $750,000 towards the acquisition of quality generic keyword domains that will earn considerable revenue. While iReports is a good name, its not going to pull nearly as much revenue as something like cowboys.com (which he owns a good percentage of).
