Pred,

You should be able to afford this now.

With the USD getting hammered and the GBP about 2:1, this is like half price for you.

almost as good as my EMM.COM except you can't pronounce rss :D

Won't sell IMO

strange they are selling it... do they need the money?

They crazy to sell now.

I like the way he say it:

"Following our review of our digital assets, we’ve concluded that the domain name RSS, while having significant value in the marketplace, is not totally indicative of the Torex product, support and service offerings on a go-forward basis. Rather than maintaining this asset, we feel that it is better suited for a company in the media, publishing or entertainment sector where it should have stronger market appeal. Sedo is the ideal partner for us to announce its availability and oversee its sale."

They crazy to sell now.

I agree ... i think something is strange here...

stripping out assets like that... seems like a company that is about to change hands or something. Maybe need cash for something...I find it hard to imagine a company doing well would dump that domain.

and saying it would be better suited for a company in the media, publishing or entertainment ...give me a break they have branded that name so well how could it be better. If they didn't own the domain name...most of us would be saying they would be the perfect end user LOL

:yo:

recession guys!!!(((

Doc, the pound is at $1.75 - it was close to $2 a year ago. In fact, the dollar is strengthening against the euro as well: $1.37 down from $1.60 just a month ago.

On the RSS.com subject: beautiful name.

RSS - is considered Radical Hindu Org by the hatters.

RSS - is a best organization for the lovers.

rashtriya swayam sevak (Nationalist selfless worker - Actual meaning)

That is an age old organization - they may come after the name some day (may be for the .org)

They have some debits with the banks?
I don't know other reasons to sell a domain like this these days.

I was going to say that; in july i was getting $1.94USD for my £1GBP; last night it was $1.69USD on paypal transactions, currently 1.75 on the market - very much a sellers market; if I'd bought a domain for £1000GBP ($1940) in july and sold the USD cost now - I'd get £1108 back; so 10%+ for nothing.

i think i wrote that for my own benefit

Very nice domain.

Best domain for a blogger????

It won't sell. Budgets seem tight out there for higher end names. I think everyone is kinda waiting to see what this financial meltdown brings.

sometimes sellers set prices phishing for an offer. i predict rss.com will sell, but it could be for less or more money.

there is no domain recession fyi.

I doubt it will sell for 750K but it would sell for a lesser price...
