Register.com is run by 30 something CEO. Their managment are kids from business schools who just graduated and set up the right business at the right time.

Once I read a report on all the insiders, family members and officers of the old Afternic who cleaned up on that 40 million dollars. There were dozens of them who made zillions from that purchase.

What idiots at Register.com for overpaying so much and then running it into the ground as they did. :laugh:

In business perspective, the register.com was able to get the existing clients and use it for marketing statistics.

Even though, they don't gain in liquid money. They have long term business plan. This is the ideal approach to most bigtime companies.

No I'm not. It is part of long term business plan. In a year or two, they will release new products/services and will simply use the existing records from afternic to send advertisement and product promotional. And they can re-use these records as often as they can to get leads.

Simply saving millions in advertisement alone.
