I'm auctioning off Saddam.com (http://www.saddam.com) at Sedo.

Everyone has wanted to get rid of this domain for some reason, and I gladly snagged it last year when it was up for sale. I've tripled my investment in 6 months, making as much as 1,000$ per day.

Seriously.

It's unquestionably the best type-in domain for Saddam Hussein. The traffic almost crippled my server. His birthday, the anniversary of his death, and any Saddam Hussein or Iraq related movie will result in surge after surge of traffic.

I'm satisfied with its performance, but I don't want to enter any lengthy negotiations for its sale. I'd rather enjoy my profits and reinvest the sale price into even bigger domain purchases.

It's still going to perform great, year after year. Hitler hasn't gone away, Stalin isn't forgotten, and Saddam will always be in the history books. It's a great longterm investment, and it's been a particularly sweet opportunity for me. I'm glad to pass it on.

The current price is very, very low (I've rejected private offers as high as 10k), so bid quick and bid high.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Edit: may need to move to external links, my fault.

LOL, I wonder why forsale again ... maybe traffic is going down the drain.

and no reserve!

The reserve was set from a low bid of 2k. I've rejected offers on sedo for 4k and private offers for 10k.

Saddam.com is still averaging 15,000 uniques per day, so the traffic is not exactly down the drain. It's still earning hundreds of dollars per day -- with a parking page.

Since about January 10th it's brought in 4,000$. Not bad for eight days of no work, I think.

Edit: The sedo auction page shows some more numbers which are a bit higher than average:

Visitors to this Sedo Listing*: 1,014
Unique Visitors per month*: 168,347

Keep in mind it's been parked for a little over a week.

I think I'm the one who offer $4k or by mail, don't remember it.

Feel free to keep bidding! =)

There's been quite a few offers for 4k and above; the name was (and I believe still is) on sedo's "Most wanted domains" list.

What's the revenue for the last 5 days?

Feel free to keep bidding! =)
