Safe Surrender laws are in place in EVERY state as far as I know for baby Adoption, and Fugitive Justice. The google results were: 1,520,000 for safe surrender.
Also, there are several sites already out there (save surrender.net, www.safesurrendersite.com, and MANY state and Child centric safe surrender sites.) Until I bought this it was a Faith based site for safe surrender advice.

EDIT:
U.S. States Work for 'Safe Surrender' of Babies - All Things Considered, March 7, 2007 · In the past decade, 47 U.S. states have enacted so-called "safe haven," or "safe surrender" laws. The measures vary in their specifics, but essentially they allow a parent to turn over a child to designated authorities, without facing charges of abandonment, as long as there is no evidence of child abuse.

Whaddyall think? I'm thinking of doing a directory of all states with links to and references for their safe surrender laws.

there are 30.600 results for "safe surrender" not 1.5 Mil.
Nevertheless there should be some traffic for this domain as the .net is developed.
In terms of value, the .info (and biz) are still available, as well as all TLDs for the version with a hyphen even Safe-Surrender.com. This is why I would think in terms of value there is probably a rather low limit that you can ask for. For a reseller I would think its in the $$ range.

Thanks for the in-depth. I was thinking that I could probably generate a good amount of traffic while actually doing something good... Do you think it would provide a good advertising opportunity? Maybe I could have each state agency pay a yearly fee to be in the directory or something.

Edit: Sorry for getting off-topic, kinda moving into the web-development conversation.
