Heya people! A month or so ago I happened to start a Dating Discussion Site after I was able to snap a domain I was eying for a bit of time â TalkAboutDating.com.
Now before we even get started about the benefits, let me tell you that I started this forum to run and not to re-sell. And this was one reason why I never promoted it in my signatures or talk about it on the forums â just like my other real ventures.
So, why do I plan to sell it now?
I am turning 21 this September 15 and I need to fund some of my plans. Yes, I really need to raise some funds quick so this is your opportunity to grab this site out of my hands. NOW!
Whatâs included in the package?
1. Owned vBulletin License with a Custom Theme.
When you purchase this site from me, Iâll transfer to you the Owned vBulletin license (with active members area access till July 15, 2007) and the custom theme I created for the site. All the graphics used on this site are royalty free.
And yes, everyone I asked about it loved the design. I am sure you would like it too.
2. Initial Activity â Done!
Yes, a fair amount of posts on the board are paid posts, some are from post-exchanges and some are from me and a few of my friends. I had like 6-7 âno-incentiveâ people signup but they didnât post much â with the issue being that my site went down the day they signed up, so I lost a critical moment to get them hooked.
However, the point here is that a LOT of initial activity has been seeded. Now when people come to discuss things here, they will not be staring at an empty board but rather see a lot of activity they can participate in too.
Yes, it will be now easy for you to grow the site since I have already done the hardest part â giving people something to talk about when they join up.
3. Initial Promotion Started.
I started promoting it by submitting it to directories. I submitted it to about 25 directories. I know I could have gotten it submitted to zillions of them but I usually stick to about 20-30 submissions a month in starting to avoid getting sandboxed.
4. Monetization Ideas.
I had a few very-unique monetization plans for this site which I will discuss with you as soon as your purchase this site from me. I know I could have done them myself but Iâll also give you a reason why I was waiting for a threshold to start with it.
5. Great content you can profit from.
A lot of posts that I had made on the site can be converted into articles in a content section that you can setup (Iâll give you a copy of my Limited Edition WordPress theme Free with this purchase).
Oh and Iâll also give you my collection of about 600 pickup-lines that you could put into database or in the content section.
Any Traffic or Revenue?
Unfortunately No, I donât have solid traffic / revenue starts to show since this site is not very old and neither had I tried to monetize it as I was focusing on creating initial seed activity (which is perhaps the toughest part⦠and the most important part).
But let me assure you that this site has A LOT of potential.
