The demographics of wine consumption is undergoing radical change. More and more young people choose wine over beer; and the sales figures that reflect this - particularly over the last 3-5 years - is nothing short of astounding. Clearly the traditional culture of wine is evolving. Moreover, the delivery system for it is in a state of evolution also. An emblematic Supreme Court decision of last year paved the way for what many see to be an inevitable de-regualtion of wine distribution over the Internet. In light of all of this, good wine domains will become premium. (see http://www.decanter.com/news/81744.html).
The two names I have for sale are: thevintner.com and halfcarafe.com
The first, of course, is pertinent to the wine maker him or herself, or to the process of making wine. This would also be ideal personal domain for someone in the winemaking part of the industry - for a blog or information site perhaps. The second name - halfcarafe - is very appropriate for a niche wine seller or online distributor, and one which concentrates on half-bottles, and markets to those who collect as well as consume wine. It is a known fact, incidentally, that due to the reduced volume, moleucule, and air ratios wine simply ages quicker in the half bottle. Equally, halfcarafe.com would be an excellent name for a restaurant, and consequently for that establisment's web site. It's reminded for those in the wine business or who intend to be, that domain perchases qualify as a business expense, and the relevant costs can be offset accordingly. Alternatively, there's the option, of course, for a buyer to choose to invest in the names, and re-sell one, or both. Ideally, I would like to transfer both from my portfolio in the same transaction, but would be open to offers for them seperately. However, I'll place an incentive to potential buyers towards executing a bundled sale. I will set the price for each domain individually at 2200 dollars obo; or fix a price for the two in a combined lot for 3750 dollars. This will include all necessary transfer fees. Thank you, and I will be happy to answer any questions regarding the ad, and to advise in any way I can.
