I agree I think it was a steal also. If I had been in the market at the moment I would of seriously considered it. Seems some of the supposed BIG spenders around here who are always advertising, claiming to want excellent names (with cash in hand) would`ve grabbed that one up for sure. Even for the sub domain potential as someone here already mentioned.

Oh well, "Snooze you loose" as they say.

Thanks for the input guys. I am glad I am not alone on this one.

I am thinking possibly a directory, with a forum, and also giving out free email accounts like yahoo or msn '[email protected]'. Very easy to remember. It would fit all of these I think.

the only problem that most would have here is it is not a name that fits into most speculators portfolios

you know, some like law, some like medical, some like auto

where does says.com fit in?

it's a potential portal or development project

it's just not a square peg in square peg kinda name

so if the name was more within a sought after category i.e. casino, lawyer, etc

some may have jumped on it

most of the buyers here seem to have pretty well defined tastes as to what they buy

2 letters
3 letters
root words
industry words

while I do see the potential in the name, I have too many of my own current development projects

so it's strong, but, it's like the any domain name, someone has to be looking for that type of name

so I wouldn't knock the buyers here, it's just not a domain name that would fit most speculators wants

it's still one heck of a name

and it's cheap

if you want to develop that type of thing

mail dom's are tough

traffic is traffic

how do you make money with says.com?

is there a target market for it?

names like lawyer in any tld have an instant market you can shop the name to

that's the only problem with the name

it's a goodie, but it's a development project

I don't think there's many developers here

mostly speculators from how I read the boards

there's a few developers, but, what's the target audience to develop it?

yes it has some might cute sub domains
