The April Cover Story is out at Domain Name Journal:

Sedo's Ascent: How the German Juggernaut Became a Global Giant

Find out how three German college students started a company just four years ago that has become one of the world's largest players in aftermarket domain name sales & parking revenue. I think you'll also find CEO Matthew Bentley's account of the company's 2-year quest to buy Sedo.com especially fascinating (they finally succeeded in getting it a few weeks ago for $80,000).

Hope you enjoy it!

Yeah interesting to read about Duke.

There was too much info to process because I'm so tired.. so I pretty much scanned through it.

I promise to read it through tomorrow :)

Thanks Duke.

When are we going to get an up to date in-depth look at the Domain Name Journal juggernaut?

Here's a thought. Why don't you do a gala "back-to-school" issue featuring-- the "Duke".

Hold a contest between now and (deadline date) amongst all of your devoted Domainer readership. Each Domainer could submit 2 questions. Based on the nature of the questions, Domainers would vote for the person they feel best qualified to interview the Duke.

Make it fun. Make it sticky. Get some affiliates to donate prizes ...

Whaddaya think?

Actually I will be interviewing myself for next month's Cover Story (if I can get myself to agree to co-operate)! Last May I ran a cover story about my first year in the domain business called A Rookie's Diary:

http://www.dnjournal.com/columns/coverstory5.htm

I have been planning all along to do a followup this May on my sophomore year and how things have progressed for me as a domain dealer. I'm not looking forward to the interview though because I have heard I can be a real pain in the butt to deal with! :-D

P.S. I like the Gala "Back To School" issue idea - but I am a little queasy about doing the nude centerfold.

Sir Duke,

Great article.

It would be interesting to know why they picked Boston? And, not Silicon Valley,
Northern Va., etc.

All of the people in the pictures look "so old". Couldn't they find any young people like
you and me?

Has Schumacher posted his thesis “Price Formation in the Trade of Internet Domain Names” on the web? I would enjoy reading it.

Thank you for "peeling back the onion" and letting us understand more about Sedo.

Isn't the centerfold reserved for the March Break issue?

I just received a photo of CEO Matthew Bentley in his Boston office. It has been added to the column (didn't have a pic of him when the article was posted Monday). A lot of you have dealt with Matthew so if you want to see what he looks like now you can.

Great article. Although it is long but worth the time to understand the history of Sedo.
