What are some best places to sell the domain names? I email people with sales letters and have sold one domain doing this the last week. Is profitable this way? Other ways maybe?

The way you are doing it is the most profitable and will get you the most sales, imo. Other ways include DNForum, Sedo, Afternic, eBay, DNX, Bido, GoDaddy Auctions, and some registrars have their own marketplaces... There are a few other ways as well....
