Selling gaming forum - Established 12 months
I am in need of some funds for a new project that I am working on, because of this I am now accepting offers on my gaming website http://www.video-gaming.net
The domain in itself is a gem. I have had it appraised at high $xxx, low $xxxx. The website is PR 4 and has been for the past 11 months.
This site has been up and running over 12 months now. I have never really had the chance to spend the time to advertise it properly.
Although the forums look quite empty this is mostly because a few weeks ago I did a mass prune and deleted over 5000 posts to start a fresh.
Hours and hours of work has gone into developing this website. The version of vBulletin the site is running has been heavily modified. Also the site has had a custom skin made for it. (worth $600).
Recently I have installed a mod_rewrite hack to the forums. Now all the forum URLs are search engine friendly. Eg. http://www.video-gaming.net/forum/sony.html
Its only a matter of time before google indexes all the pages and the sites traffic and PR goes up.
Sorry, this sale does not come with the vbulletin licence, as I would like to hold onto it for my next project.
Like I said, I am only selling this website because I am in desperate need of funds for a project that I am working on. If it was up to me I would keep the website and spend the time to develop it and make the site as successful as it deserves to be.
Like I said, the forums are not very active at the moment. But this site is a goldmine for anyone who is willing to put some time into it.
There are currently 2 moderators at the forums who do a very good job of keeping everyone in line. I am sure that they will not mind staying on and lending a hand when the site gets handed over to the new owner.
The domain is reged at namecheap for a free and easy push.
I can host the site for a while on my server to give you a chance to move it to your own server.
If you have any questions please drop me a PM and I will be happy to help.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Jon
