Hello
I'm confused. A domain i want updated to 'pending delete' on 8 mar.
I thought after 6 days it was dropped, but today it is still not available for registration..

Can anyone explain this?

whois info:
Domain Name: ***.COM
Registrar: ENOM, INC.
Whois Server: whois.enom.com
Referral URL: http://www.enom.com
Status: PENDINGDELETE
Updated Date: 08-mar-2004
Creation Date: 26-dec-2001
Expiration Date: 26-dec-2003
>>> Last update of whois database: Sun, 14 Mar 2004 19:18:53 EST

The domain should have dropped on Mar 14. If it is not available, somebody have already picked it up. However, the com/net whois database updates only twice a day, wait for some time and check again.

MMmm i've been trying since yesterday..
Do you happen to know what time they do update?

Are domains dropped at hese times to, or is the droptime different for every domain?

They update around 8AM EST or there abouts.

are the domains also being released at 8 AM est or is there now way to know this time?

.com/.net drop at 14:00 eastern. .orgs at 09:30 eastern

thanks for the info!

Hi
i have just came accros the hours you said, although on one site, domainguru.com,
they say

At precisely 6.30 AM (EST) or up to 15 minutes thereafter on the 6th day after the name becomes soon to drop, the name is made available for anyone to register again i.e. it is dropped.

is this wrong information?

that was waaaaayyyyy back when us north americans had a reason to get up in the AM lol

If "anyone" wanted the domain that you're going after, you would not see it come available. The registration happens just to fast. This is why people backorder them........
