I didn't go after any 'estate' names, but I did pick up some others, and lost a few. I'll start a new thread to complement this one.

I couldn't think of anything to go with the extension. Maybe "my" but I'd need to buy an estate first

For the less versed in English: estate != real estate.

I spoke to some folks whose mother tongue isn't English; they treated the extension as 'gold', believing it's 'real estate' and registered a ton of geodomains.

In the US, an estate is primarily the cumulative property left behind by someone who has deceased, and much less of a reference to land and buildings.

Also, dot .realestate is coming out as well, so keep that in mind before spending all your cash.

List of .estate domains

Google Search: site:*.estate

You can do the same for other gTLDs.

itseemsthat.guru has the most reg'd so far :D

Actually, you don't need the "*" in the front. However, using that method the results are off, for example there are 8585 .estate domains in the zone file, and 8420 when using site:.estate; there are 14,372 for .bike in the zone file, and site:.bike returns 20,700 due to duplicate page results.

I snagged

SoCal.estate
Bay.estate

I focused on those couple purely because everything in Southern California is so hot in damn near every market and, as far as bay is concerned, I am currently in the San Francisco Bay area for a few more months. This place is spectacular. But the domain lends itself to so many hacks and secondary markets.

Neither. The best would be (Name).realestate

I agree with that, but as far as the 2 examples shown above, does anyone think either or both are more effective for search and marketing?
