Interesting. I have a generic .ca that is in 4th position on google and #1 when I choose canada only, its #1 on msn .com and #1 on sympatico.msn and its #274 on yahoo.ca and #10 when I choose canada only. I am finding my pages index easily on yahoo but getting into a good position more difficult.

How'd everyone do today? Looks like I picked up 2 domains, one a popular last name and the other a realty domain.

Got two outright - auctions for more. But considering they were the ones with the high pre-bids elsewhere... I know where they are going.

I was thinking more along the lines of "heck no - I'm not paying that much for that domain!" But I can live with your suggestion should my line of thinking not materialize...

The problem is I keep winning more than I can develop! I'm sure I echo many here when I say that. It's a nice bonus when you pick a name for development and while waiting to get to it it's earning money parked.

The tbr traffic domains for parking are too hotly contested anymore.

Just checking through the current Afternic auctions and noticed that Hollywood.ca is in auction, with a bid of $13,550. Will be interesting to see how this one goes, should give .ca some good press once the sale goes through. The owner has a few more good California locations .ca's too.

and wouldn't you know there's a big picture of the Hollywood sign in the weekend's Globe and Mail newspaper, on the front of one of the inside sections. Story about Canadians working in Hollywood. It will be interesting to see who is buying this name and why.

I bought a different name from the owner of hollywood.ca a few years back. I remember asking him about some of his other names and he said that he'd actually rented hollywood.ca out to someone at some point. Maybe the renter decided to purchase. Who knows, that was a long time ago.
