My last two hand reg are not really traffic domains but were informational domains that will be developed.

Stuffing.ca
Pruning.ca

I figured almost everyone loves stuffing and as someone gets older, want to know proper pruning techniques. I'm bound to make my money back in a year or two.

Stuffing is a nice reg.

Thank you. I was quite proud of that one. Quite surprised to see it available. I'm sure it will get more traffic during Christmas and Thanksgiving.

Secret family stuffing recipes. I know my nana's is the best!

The sale of Hollywood.ca finally went through at Afternic on March 31.
$13,550

Guys I need some advice...

Radios.ca already at $1201, with Pool_1481 outbidding me... should I go any higher, do you think the value of this domain is much more than $1200?

its my opinion the singular has 1k plus worth. but the plural, i wouldnt have hand regged it a couple years ago. I'd cnsider regging it if it were available today but only because i see domainers going after these so much. I cant see an end user offering much more than a hundred for it.

If you have a dev plan for it, and the clicks are worth more than a few pennies. 1k would be acceptable but pushing it.

take note: i didnt check ovt score with the extension. if the plural had ovt with ext id think otherwise.

Kevin.

An actual 'radio' that someone would buy is going the way of the rotary dial phone. Unless it's a satellite radio.

True, thanks guys!

$1000 was my max, and where I think I will let it go. I just thought Radios have been here for how long, and there will always be the radio, radio stations, and so forth.

I also thought this domain would receive a lot of type-in traffic because of the massive website radiocanada which is very popular.

If I were to buy, I'd most likely develop, to maximize my ROI. I don't think I would be able to compete with Pool_1481's budget though.

I'm with hugegrowth on this one. "radios" as a product are on their way out... I think satellite radio etc will rejuvinate the technology but likely "radios" as a term will refer to the old-style product.

On the other hand, antique radios will be around for decades... Heck I got one of those stand-up wooden ones from early part of this centry myself, so if you were to create a site for those types of products it'd weather the test of time. That's the type of stuff that comes up if you do a search on ebay.

Now, having said all that, most names tend to sink or swim for me based on the numbers. Having looked it up radios.ca isn't worth much $500 (if that) based on the stats if you ask me. However the singular version (radio.ca) certainly would be though ...great numbers there - IF it was radio.ca you were after I'd say go to the wall on it, perhaps even $2000+.

Let it go, better ones can be had for so much less.

Unfortunately not a single one! Once again I missed the close of auctions, argh. The result was pool_1481 won 5 of them at a measly $80 each (I think I was the only other bidder). Someone made them pay dearly for sundecks.ca though - final price of $706.

Thanks for the update.. yes, at least someone did the job well it looks. I saw some others also made a good run to make them pay dearly for radios.ca. Nice:yes:

Which finished at $80?

businessenglish.ca
covet.ca
drivingjobs.ca
newsblog.ca
palpitations.ca

I certainly would have been game for all of them at that price. What do you all think?

They are overpriced in my opinion. I can't see them selling for half that on a domain forum.

I'd have to agree - I'm not even sure I would have hand-regged some of them, though I'd have to admit I have my share of names which I've overpaid for...
