Hi everyone!

I know the old Overture keyword selector tool hasn't been updated in months by Yahoo, but I just noticed this week that it isn't delivering any search results at all - zero, zilch.

Does anyone know if this is a permanent loss? Too bad if it is....it was really helpful in digging up .ca's to register.

The DigitalPoint.com WordTracker/Overture tool appears to still be pulling Overture figures from somewhere.

I prefer Wordtracker #'s because they differentiate between singular/plural of keywords and word order in keyword phrases.

Both show some pretty erratic results sometimes. Too bad Google hasn't come out with their version.

sexcartoon*ca - registered it at the end of august already earned back almost half of reg fees.

It's still possible to fresh reg .ca's and make a profit parking. But it's getting so much tougher to find domains fitting that bill.

So buy it already;):lol::lol:

I know there is big money in seminars but I only see money in that domain if it has "MAJOR" development. It's almost like you'd have to build a brand to make it pay.

It's perhaps a great long term holding property but not at that price. I'd rather buy a lot of smaller ones.

It was bought before the timestamp on my last post.

Looking through a lot of names for sale lists, and what strikes me is that (maybe this is obvious) words and phrases of products or services that can be sold have the most value, or also words of subjects that people are interested in learning information about. A one word domain may look nice at first, but can it actually be used for selling something or providing information? Other good domains are one words that are highly brandable, like cool.ca or wow.ca, but these are hard to come by now.

With seminars, you can have make money from home seminars, real estate seminars, stock market seminars, retirement seminars, and on and on. And it could all be done online now, just buy the rights or partner with people who give seminars and set up some pay per view seminar site, then people can pay to watch their pre-taped seminar of choice 24/7. Lots of people can't reach the big cities where the big speakers usually go. Maybe I'll do the french version now.

According to DNJournal, they were sold at Snapnames. There doesn't appear to be an option to search for .ca's there - has anyone tried listing their .ca's with them?

They send out a weekly email listing the .ca's coming up. You have to indicate your interest in what they are offering.

I applied for a seller acc - they want you to transfer the domain to an approved registrar
upon acceptance - they mention it makes for a smoother after sale transfer - no mention of fees, I have WAX.ca at Sedo in a auction format with no action - so Snapnames seems to be a viable alternative

My lazy ass slept in today so I didn't think I'd get anything but I got zodiacsign. Surprised nobody outbid me on that one. Nicely searched, okay paying niche and easy to make minisite.

Sibername did well today including nailing down autobiography.ca
